The possibility’s of the Poi Maps are endless. Almost every collection of Pois can be added without interfering with the original Garmin Maps. The only restriction we have is the number of category’s and symbols that garmin implemented in the “older” modells.

Due to the transparancy of the PoiMaps the original Garmin maps will remain completely visible.

The maps have been tested with success on the next garmin modells:

• Streetpilot III
• Streetpilot 2610
• Quest 1
• Quest 2

Because the concept that we use, we think that you will not have legal issue in Germany and Swisterland because there is no active warning and there are no pois inside the Poi memory. (This statement is NOT done on any legal refference and Poi Maps will not accept responsibility for driving with Poi Maps)

A limitation of Poi Maps in regard to modern GPS devices that support large amounts of Pois is the audio warming possibility. This will be always be a limitation, because the older garmin gps devices just dont support this option.

Toestellen

Poi Maps zijn transparant waardoor de onderliggende kaarten volledig zichtbaar blijven op de GPS.

Geheugen

Wij verwachten geen problemen in Duitsland en Zwitserland omdat er hoegenaamd geen poi’s controleerbaar in het geheugen zitten. (Deze stelling is niet juridisch onderbouwd, en rijden met de Poi Maps is ten allen tijde voor eigen verantwoording.)

Beperking

Een beperking in het gebruik van Poi Maps ten opzichte van flitspaalwaarschuwingen is dat audiowaarschuwingen niet worden gegeven. Dit zal ook in de toekomst een beperking blijven omdat de GPSen waarvoor Poi Maps worden ontwikkeld dit domweg niet ondersteunen.

Nu al staan er meer dan 20.000 flitspalen in de database. En meer als 80.000 banken, campings en motordealers door heel europa.
